OxSiCoat Properties

Metals degrade unless protected.

They corrode, stain, scorch, scratch, fade.

It is a universal problem. There are paints, powders, gels and lacquers that add protection but OxSiCoat is the only glass coating. The only coating that forms a molecular bond with the metal and the only coating to provide superb clarity at an ultra light thinness.

Hydrophobic

OxSiCoat has a hydrophobic quality. This means that it repels water enabling it to move smoothly and quickly off of the metal surface.

This helps prevent water from freezing on the metal surface. It helps metal move smoothly through water and makes it easy to clean.

High reflectance

OxSicoat is a transparent glass coating that provides superb clarity. It will preserve a highly polished surface without loss of reflectance.

Lightweight

A thin layer of OxSiCoat weighing less than one micron can provide superb corrosion, UV and heat resistance.

UV resistant

OxSiCoat blocks UV radiation protecting organic dyes from prolonged exposure to UV rays. This prevents colour fade and preserves the vibrancy of colours.

Heat resistant

OxSiCoat will withstand extreme temperature exposure for prolonged periods without degradation to the metal surface. This eliminates oxidation damage retaining the appearance of the metal.

Abrasion resistance

OxSiCoat provides a protective barrier to the underlying metal that helps protect it from wear and tear.

Corrosion resistant

OxSiCoat prevents filiform corrosion from occurring. It is resistant to high pH liquids (pH of 14) and low pH liquids (pH of 1) enabling it to withstand extreme conditions.

Colour and finish

OxSiCoat helps preserve a coloured, matt or highly polished surface.
